Kathmandu: Himalayan Bullion Company Limited has announced financial assistance of Rs 10.1 million (Rs 1.01 crore) to support search and rescue operations, immediate relief and humanitarian assistance for victims of the recent Bhote Koshi floods.
The company had already contributed Rs 2.1 million to the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund on August 26, 2026. It has now announced an additional contribution of Rs 8 million, bringing its total pledged assistance to Rs 10.1 million.
Half of the announced amount was handed over to the Ministry of Finance on August 27 to Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle. The cheque was presented on behalf of Himalayan Bullion by Rakesh Kumar Adukia, Rohan Adukia, Bhim Prasad Gautam, Jeevan Ghimire and Rajendra Neupane.
The company expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and property caused by the floods in the Bhote Koshi river areas, including Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading. It also extended condolences to families who lost loved ones and wished those injured a speedy recovery.
Himalayan Bullion said supporting affected families and contributing to search, rescue and relief efforts during a disaster is a collective responsibility. The remaining assistance will also be directed toward relief and humanitarian efforts for people affected by the disaster.
