KATHMANDU – In a pioneering move to digitize, organize, and streamline Nepal’s precious metals sector, Himalayan Bullion Company Limited (HBC) has officially unveiled a new ecosystem featuring digital trading applications, premium refining services, secure storage vaults, and international export plans.
The company presented its strategic vision during a high-profile event themed "Redefining Access" at The Plaza Hotel in Kathmandu on the occasion of Ghatasthapana. The launch was held in the prominent presence of the Minister for Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation, Biraj Bhakta Shrestha.
The Digital Shift: Trading on Smart Apps
HBC aims to bring transparency and convenience to Nepalese bullion traders and investors via two dedicated mobile platforms:
• HBC App: Enables users to purchase silver bars or coins, monitor live company-published market rates, log transaction histories, and request instant re-sales.
• HBC Silver App: Tailored specifically for B2B operations to track wholesale silver transactions, secure warehouse data, and manage regional distribution networks.
99.99% Purity and Local Production
Beyond digital solutions, the company showcased its new high-tech refining facility in Budhanilkantha. The plant is engineered to process silver into 1,000-gram bars certified at 99.99% purity.
Additionally, HBC will supply:
• Certified silver grains and coins in various weights for industrial use.
• Custom gold, silver, and diamond jewellery for retail, personal, and institutional clients.
• Premium corporate gifts featuring national identity designs—such as the National Bird (Danfe) and the National Flower (Rhododendron)—crafted from pure silver with gold accents.
Insured Vaults & Global Expansion
Catering to investor security, HBC announced fully insured storage facilities paired with a guaranteed buy-back program at prevailing market rates. Looking ahead, the company aims to supply wholesale silver bars to local merchants while expanding its export footprint across South Asia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
